Learn about the advising and tutoring options available to new freshmen, new transfer students and current transfer studetns.

NEW FRESHMEN

All incoming freshman schedules are created by the Academic Advising staff upon successful submission of math and english placements.

All new freshmen who have declared a major upon enrolling at Lake Erie College will be assigned a faculty advisor within their area of study. Faculty advisors will assist students with academic questions, course plans, career guidance and progress throughout their college career.  Students who are not yet ready to commit to a major will work with our Office of Academic Advising. Our advising staff will help students with career and major exploration, course scheduling and academic questions until a major has been declared. NEW TRANSFER STUDENTS

Incoming Transfer students will work with the Transfer Coordinator during the admission, transcript evaluation, and registration process. During the scheduling meeting, students will receive their faculty academic advisor information. Transfer admission information can be found here. CURRENT TRANSFER STUDENTS

Academic Learning Center

The Academic Learning Center is a network of complementary services designed to enable students to fulfill their academic potential and to support their academic success. The ALC is composed of three primary areas: the Writing Center and Tutorial Services.
