At Lake Erie College, we know that every career journey is unique. Our Career and Professional Advancement Programs are designed to help you gain new skills, strengthen your resume, and grow in your field.

Applied Technical Skills

Develop hands-on technical expertise. Our 11-month evening HVACR Technician Certification Program—offered through the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3)—prepares working professionals to enter or advance in the HVACR industry.

Applied Professional Skills

Enhance your workplace communication and leadership abilities. Our upcoming Conflict and Negotiation Skills Mastery Module is a fully online, non-credit course ideal for professionals seeking advancement or recent graduates building their resumes. Participants earn a certificate of completion.

Advanced Skills for Teachers

Teachers can expand their expertise through graduate-level Professional Development Programs offered by the Center for Professional Development. Courses—taught by experienced K–12 educators—support license renewal and classroom innovation, with flexible options including pass/fail credit and independent study.

Prepare for a rewarding, high-demand career in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) with hands-on, expert-led training at Lake Erie College.

Our five-semester program, built on the nationally recognized ESCO Institute curriculum, provides the technical skills and certifications employers value most. Students train in a state-of-the-art HVAC suite, gain experience with modern controls and technology, and receive entry-level tools valued at over $1,000 upon certification.
