Student Veterans of America| SVA

The Storm Vets are a part of a nationally recognized student organization that promotes and plans social, educational, and cultural events throughout the academic year.

Founded in 2008

The SVA is a coalition of student veteran groups from college campuses across the United States. Major components that support the group consist of the executive staff and student veteran groups. These student groups provide peer-to-peer networks and organize campus activities for veterans attending colleges or universities. The executive staff facilitates communication between groups, connecting them to resources and state and national advocates to address the common needs of the student veterans.

All veterans will succeed in higher education, achieve their academic goals, and gain meaningful employment.

MISSION

• Develop student veteran groups on college and university campuses and coordinate by region between existing groups.

• Connect the veteran to student groups with resources

• Advocate on behalf of student veterans at the state and national level
