Communication| Minor

A minor in Communication offers students a concrete, working in writing processes and different forms of communication as they relate to different areas of their lives.

Students are required to take a minimum of 15 semester credits of communication classes. Communication classes are designated with CM before the course number. Students have their choice of any communication classes, excluding CM 105 Fundamentals of Public Speaking.

This major is an interdisciplinary program that equips you with the skills and knowledge to establish and build relationships between businesses/organizations and their target audiences. Choose from three concentration areas: Advertising, Public Relations or Digital Media.

MajorCommunication

This major includes courses both in writing processes and in the history and theory of different forms of communication. This double focus is based on the belief that the processes of oral and written communication must be grounded in substantive understanding of their theoretical and historical backgrounds.
