Literacy with Reading Endorsement

LEC's Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Literacy program is designed to meet the professional development needs of working teachers.

A Master of Education degree in literacy prepares teaching professionals to have an in-depth knowledge of literacy theories, processes, strategies, curriculum and research. M.Ed. students will learn how to apply that knowledge to plan appropriate literacy programs and curricula for a variety of contexts. The 2 year program is coupled with a Reading Endorsement and can be completed all online.  All courses in this two-year program are available completely online and run every 7 weeks, allowing you to focus on most courses one at a time.

Completely On-Line Program

This prepares students for the Graduate Reading Endorsement (P-12) and the Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE) exams. Courses meet the International Literacy Association (ILA) standards and guidelines set forth by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

With just five required courses, the Reading Endorsement Program may be completed 100% online in as little as one year (2 semesters).
