Lake Erie College is pleased to announce two distinct programs for educators during the Spring 2025 semester. These graduate-level programs, available fully online, offer valuable opportunities for teachers seeking to advance their careers and enhance their skills in response to the evolving needs of students.
1. Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (T-ESOL) Endorsement Program
The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (T-ESOL) program is designed for educators who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively teach students whose first language is not English. This Master of Education program will equip candidates with the tools necessary to meet the challenges of multicultural classrooms and comply with state regulations related to English Language Learners (ELLs).
The program consists of 12 credit hours of core coursework and an additional 18 credit hours required for the endorsement, totaling 30 credit hours (or 10 courses). The T-ESOL endorsement program is open to currently licensed teachers, graduate students, and undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in this field.
2. Master of Educational Leadership Program
For licensed educators with at least two years of classroom experience, the Master of Educational Leadership Program offers a pathway to advanced leadership roles in education. This 34-credit hour program provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop the skills necessary for educational leadership in various school settings.
Candidates may choose between two tracks:
Fast Track: Complete the program in just two semesters.
Traditional Track: Complete the program over the course of four semesters.
This program is exclusively available to currently licensed teachers with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.

Eligibility: T-ESOL program is open to current teachers, graduates, and undergraduates. The Educational Leadership program is open to licensed teachers with at least two years of teaching experience.
