State Representative Jamie Callender to Speak at Lake Erie College Commencement| 2024
Lake Erie College is pleased to announce that State Representative Jamie Callender has agreed to present the keynote address at the 2024 Commencement ceremony.
Callender is a Lake County native, having moved to Concord Township in the seventh grade. He attended Mentor Memorial Junior High School and graduated from Mentor High School. He later graduated from Cleveland State University, having earned his law degree at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and then opened a small office.
During his college and law years, Callender served as a member of the Lake County Republican Central Committee, the Lake County Republican Executive Committee, and as an officer of the Lake County Young Republicans.
“We are delighted Representative Callender will be a part of Lake Erie’s Commencement ceremony,” shared President Jennifer N. Schuller. “He is a devoted public servant to Lake County as well as a true partner and friend to Lake Erie College. We look forward to hearing his remarks to the Class of 2024.”
State Representative Callender is currently serving his third term in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 57 House district, which includes the majority of Lake County. Lake Erie College’s Commencement ceremony will be held May 11, 2024 at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio.
