Lauren Jackson, PA-C | Faculty
Lauren attended Kent State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biology. She graduated from the Lake Erie College PA Program in 2017 as a part of the Program’s second cohort. During her time at LEC she served as the Health and Wellness Chair, was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society, and was chosen as PA Student of the Year.Â
Lauren began her career at the Cleveland Clinic, first spending several years in Emergency Medicine before transitioning her practice to Express/Urgent Care where she has been for the past three years. She thrives in the fast-paced environment of on demand care and enjoys being able to connect with and treat patients when they are feeling their worst. She is passionate about patient education, sexual health, antibiotic stewardship, and infectious diseases. Cultural competence is a central element of her practice, ensuring all patients feel safe and comfortable in her care
Since graduation, Lauren has remained involved with the Program by guest lecturing, assisting in student interviews, precepting pre-PA and PA students, as well as volunteering at student-led events and initiatives. She is excited to serve as a Clinical Recruiter to help the LEC PA Program continue to grow and thrive.Â
Outside of medicine, Lauren is an avid baker and coffee connoisseur. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and curling up on the couch with a good book and her dog.
