John Anderson, MSPAS, PA-C | Faculty
John Anderson is the Research and Outcomes Coordinator and Assistant Professor for the Lake Erie College Physician Assistant program. He received his undergraduate degree through Slippery Rock University and completed his Master in Physician Assistant Studies at Lake Erie College in 2016. After graduating, he practiced as a Physician Assistant in thoracic surgery at University Hospitals and in Emergency Medicine at Akron City Hospital and Akron General Hospital. John has served as an adjunct professor teaching various courses for the Physician Assistant program for over 4 years. He also held the title of Clinical Recruiter, helping the Program procure high-quality clinical sites before taking the role of Research and Outcomes Coordinator and Assistant Professor.
During breaks, John enjoys going for hikes at the local Metroparks and exploring new places. Another enjoyment is taking time to shoot a few hoops on the basketball court as he was recognized as a star basketball player and a part of the All-County Basketball team during high school. His other personal interests include creating new cuisines and trying new recipes.
