Intramural Sports Program Coming to Lake Erie College Thanks to Grant | from Tracy H. Dickinson Foundation

Campus life at Lake Erie College is about to become a lot more fun, as students will soon get to enjoy a new intramural sports program made possible by a generous $90,000 grant from the Tracy H. Dickinson Foundation.

This grant will allow Lake Erie College to expand its recreational offerings, introducing various intramural sports and activities such as volleyball, archery, pickleball, 3-on-3 basketball, and more. These kinds of social, friendly, inclusive games and activities will foster teamwork, encourage fitness, and inspire school spirit for all LEC students, whether they consider themselves athletes.

“We are thrilled to receive this incredible support from the Tracy H. Dickinson Foundation,” said Lake Erie College President Jennifer N. Schuller. “This grant will provide our students with exciting new opportunities to connect with one another, stay active, and build community. Intramural sports are a vital part of student life, and we are excited to offer a program that will help our students create lasting memories and friendships.”

The intramural sports program will be open to all students, with various leagues and activities planned to accommodate a range of interests. The college expects to roll out the program this spring semester.

The Tracy H. Dickinson Foundation, long known for its commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and community development, is a strong partner in supporting initiatives that benefit individuals and institutions.
