4+1 MPS Program
Undergraduate students at Lake Erie College who meet eligibility requirements can enroll in MPS courses that count as electives toward their Bachelor's degree and fulfill requirements for the graduate program. This allows students to earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in just five years.
Outcomes and Objectives
Students graduating from any of our graduate programs will:
Develop mastery of content, independent thought on increased complexity subjects, and critical research understanding.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, about theories, arguments, methods, and concepts within their field of study.
Demonstrate proficiency in the professional skills necessary to engage in both intellectual and organizational aspects of their chosen career field.
Application Process for Graduate Students
To apply to the graduate studies program at Lake Erie College, you will need:
Bachelor's Degree
You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Transcripts
Submit your official undergraduate transcripts and any graduate work completed. Transcripts must be sent directly to the Admissions Office from the degree-granting institution.
GMAT Requirements
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) may be required at the discretion of Lake Erie College faculty. Students who have taken the GMAT should have all scores forwarded to the Admissions Office.
Transfer Credits
When applying, you may request approval to transfer up to six (6) semester credits from an accredited institution toward your interdisciplinary concentration.
Only credits earned within seven (7) years of degree completion are considered for transfer.
Credits must have earned a grade of “B” or better to be eligible for transfer.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) coursework completed at Lake Erie College may fulfill equivalent MPS core requirements.
Admission Decisions
Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, and students are typically notified within one week once their application is complete.

The Graduate Council oversees graduate programs at Lake Erie College. Its key purposes include:
Communicating with the faculty senate on policy discussions and proposals, program reviews, and recommendations concerning graduate studies and resources.
Studying and reviewing both new and existing graduate programs and providing guidance on exploring new graduate programs.
Acting as a board of appeals for academic petitions related to graduate studies.
