CAEP Accountability Measures

Measure 1: Completer effectiveness (R4.1) - Impact of completers’ teaching contributing to P-12 student learning and completers’ effectiveness in applying professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions.

Value-Added Ratings — a component of Ohio’s Accountability system, value-added calculations utilize data from state-tested subjects and grades to measure student growth.

OTES Data — administrator ratings of the performance of recent graduates, as mandated under OTES (Ohio Teacher Evaluation System).

Measure 2: Satisfaction of employers and stakeholder involvement (R4.2 & R5.3) - Data provided should be collected on employers' satisfaction with program completers.

Employer Survey — An EPP-created questionnaire distributed to current HR professionals who employ completers.

Measure 3: Candidate competency at completion (R3.3) - Data provided should relate to measures the EPP is using to determine if candidates are meeting program expectations and ready to be recommended for licensure.

edTPA Data– It provides a measure of teacher candidates’ readiness to teach that can inform licensure, accreditation decisions, and program completion.

Completer GPA- Grade Point Averages of completers of the EPP.

CPAST- of the Candidate Pre Service Assessment of Student Teaching (CPAST) is to focus and assess the abilities of preservice teachers during the student teaching experience in areas including Pedagogy and Dispositions.

Pre-Service Survey (PDF) University of Iowa Survey- Instrument developed by the University of Iowa for satisfaction of EPP.

2021 (unavailable due to COVID)

OAE- Ohio Assessment for Educator results at the completion of the program, as required for licensure.

Measure 4: Ability of completers to be hired in positions for which they have prepared

Employment Information — employment information on graduates in their first and second year after program completion.

EPP Alumni Survey —In-service teachers receive an invitation from ODHE to complete this survey as they enter Year Two of the Resident Educator Program.
