2024 Total Solar Eclipse at LEC| Event
A total solar eclipse will take place at the moon's ascending node on Monday, April 8, 2024. Fortunately for us, Northeast Ohio is one of the most visible areas to see the eclipse.
We are proud to pair up with the City of Painesville to bring you this event. Grab a blanket or chair and join us on the Jack Slattery Field on campus for food trucks, games, a DJ, information about the eclipse, and more from local organizations! Food trucks include: FATS on the Go, Barrio Tacos, Cocky's Bagels, and King Cone.
In 2017, the totality of the eclipse was 2 minutes and 38 seconds:

On April 8, the totality will be 3 minutes and 49.2 seconds:

Although the last one was six years ago, the next one will not take place in the US until 2044. We will have solar glasses available but please know that we have a limited quantity so, they will be first come first serve.
