Lake Erie College Welcomes New Leadership for| National Alumni Board

Lake Erie College is excited to announce the new leadership for its National Alumni Board (NAB), bringing together a dedicated group of alumni committed to strengthening the Lake Erie College community.

Gary Fedak, Class of 1997, has been appointed as President. Fedak received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Lake Erie College. With more than 30 years of experience in construction, engineering, and business operations, he currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Lake County Department of Utilities.

“As President of the National Alumni Board, I look forward to building a strong foundation for current and future LEC alumni, ensuring the continued legacy of Lake Erie College,” said Fedak.

Emily Long, Class of 2017, is taking on the role of Vice President. A native of Maumee, Ohio, and a golf scholarship recipient, Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration. She later earned her MBA from Lake Erie College. Currently residing in Durham, North Carolina, she works at Duke University coordinating stewardship activities for the Duke Endowment.

Sharan McPadden, Class of 2000 and 2003, is the National Alumni Board Treasurer. A passionate advocate for Lake Erie College, she continues to serve the institution that shaped her academic and professional journey. McPadden has served on the board for more than a decade, including six years in her current role. With a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Education from Lake Erie College, she has dedicated 13 years to the college in various capacities, including Associate Director of Academics. McPadden is also a founding board member of Suit Yourself, a local nonprofit, and a foster parent in Lake County.

“Serving on the NAB allows me to stay connected with the college and support its continued success,” she said. “I am grateful for the education and experiences I gained at LEC, and it's an honor to help give back.”

Victoria Hilditch, Class of 2012, will continue to serve as Secretary. As a Business Systems Analyst at Case Western Reserve University, Victoria brings more than a decade of experience in higher education. A lifelong learner, she is dedicated to professional development and enjoys exploring Ohio's parks with her two boys.

The National Alumni Board is critical to fostering a vibrant alumni network and connecting graduates with the college. This new leadership team is committed to engaging alumni and promoting opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development.
