ANSWER: You will receive your room assignment toward the end of June once you have made your deposit. If you do not receive your room assignment, please contact the Director of Residence Life at housing@lec.edu. Due to limited amount of space, make sure to submit your deposit soon!
At times, people seem as if they match perfectly on paper, but they may be complete opposites once they meet. As a student at Lake Erie College, it is an expectation that you make attempts to compromise and form agreements with your roommate. Students are unable to request a room change until after the 2nd week of classes.

WHAT SIZE SHEETS DO I NEED?
You have the option of ordering your bedding online and having it shipped to LEC, making one less item to pack!
ANSWER: Each student room is furnished with a bed, mattress, chest of drawers, wardrobe or closet, desk, desk chair and window blinds. All furniture that is in the room must stay in the room.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT THE DIMENSIONS AND COLOR OF MY ROOM IN ORDER TO DECORATE AND BUY AN AREA RUG?
Fowler/Ritter/Andrews offer additional closet space that is roughly three feet by three feet.
ANSWER: Visitation hours are:
Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. -12 midnight
Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 a.m.
Residential students are required to obtain an overnight guest form from the front desk of the student life office before 12:00 p.m. on the Friday before the visit.
ANSWER: All halls have a professional Residence Director. Each RD supervises the day-to-day operations which include supervising the Resident Assistant (RA) staff, handling conduct situations, as well as promoting social and educational programming for the hall. In addition to the RD supervision, you will have the most contact with the RAs. The RAs are responsible for a designated section of a floor. We select and train upper-class "campus leaders" to serve as counselor, administrator, disciplinarian, activity director, role model and friend.
ANSWER:
All residence halls are locked 24 hours a day. Only residents of a particular hall will have key access. Guests must be escorted at all times while in the building. At least one member of the Residence Life Staff is on duty after 5p.m. daily and there is coverage twenty-four hours a day on weekdays. During the weekday, all concerns should be directed towards the Student Life Office. The campus escort service is available by calling Security at (440) 375-7575.
To ensure that our security measures are fully effective, you must assist us by locking your room door, un-propping entrance doors, escorting guests to your room, and reporting suspicious activities or persons to Security.
ANSWER: LEC has a large number of vegetarians and students with special dietary needs. Metz Food Service is very accommodating to our students and are willing to work with any student in order to provide healthy food choices. Students with hectic schedules can also work with Metz to make sure they have the accommodations that they need, i.e. Equestrian students with early morning classes.
*All students who reside in campus resident halls are required to have a meal plan.
ANSWER: Students are encouraged to obtain "Renter's Insurance" if not covered under a home policy. Insurance for your personal property is NOT available through the College.

ANSWER: During the first month of class, there will be an activities fair. All student organizations will have booths. Stop by and meet the campus leaders and sign up to be a member of their organization. Contact the Activities Council if you have any ideas as to events/activities that you would like to see on campus.
