The PA program faculty-to-student ratio is an impressive 8:1 with over 50% of the instructional faculty having a doctorate in either medicine or health sciences.
All of the core PA program faculty currently practice in clinical medicine and together have over 30 years of clinical experience.
Our Medical Director is a former Commander, Training Air Wing One, and Staff Flight Surgeon with 30 years of experience in Internal Medicine. In addition he is the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Ethics Officer for University Hospitals in Cleveland.
Pharmacology and Anatomy & Physiology course instruction is provided by faculty holding dual MD/PhD degrees.
Genetics course instruction is provided by a PhD with extensive experience in molecular genetics.

Lake Erie College has partnered with University Hospitals, one of the nation’s leading health care systems, providing high-quality, patient-centered medical care at locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
Students will experience early clinical experiences starting within the first several weeks of the didactic training phases. Students will have early exposure to clinical medicine to enhance their learning and create excitement for patient care.
