MENTOR RESIDENT NAMED DIRECTOR OF CAREER SERVICES AND INTERNSHIPS AT LAKE ERIE COLLEGE

(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) – Cynthia Panton Mills has been named director of career services and internships at Lake Erie College. She is responsible for providing leadership and development of career related programs and services.
 
Prior to joining Lake Erie College, Mills worked at Cleveland State University as coordinator of career services. She previously also served as a certification specialist and academic advisor. Mills also spent two years as a freelance writer in London, England. 
 
Originally from Cleveland Heights, Mills obtained her B.A. from Lake Erie College in 1983 and her M.S.Ed. from Cleveland State University in 1987. She is a member of the Ohio College Personnel Association (OCPA), and the Poets and Writers League of Greater Cleveland. Mills is also a published novelist, freelance writer and recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award in Counseling (national award), 1990.  She currently resides in Mentor, Ohio.
 
Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a dynamic and progressive institution of higher education, offering 22 undergraduate majors and master’s degrees in business administration and education. This coeducational college, grounded in the liberal arts, enrolls just over 1,000 students of all ages and is nationally recognized for its equine studies programs and international learning opportunities for students.
