Storm Athletics Team Up for Toys For Tots Drive
The Lake Erie College Department of Athletics once again is teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The effort is aimed at collecting toys for children in need during this holiday season.
Through these new toys, the Toys for Tots program’s stated goal is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens, help those children experience the joy of the holiday season and to unite members of the local community in a common cause.
Fans will have the opportunity to participate and donate a new and unwrapped toy at Storm basketball games and wrestling matches throughout the month of December.
Those unable to attend the games, but still wish to donate a gift, can do so until Dec. 18th. Collection boxes will be located in the lobby area of the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center.
