Lake Erie College plans Homecoming Alumni Weekend events
To welcome the return of our alumni as well as recognize our growing student body and athletic department, Lake Erie College will celebrate the third year of a combined Homecoming/Alumni Weekend October 1-3.
The weekend’s festivities begin on Friday, October 1 with a fine arts workshop from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the Fine Arts Building. At noon, there will be a dedication ceremony for the Royce Hall for the Fine and Performing Arts. Registration and refreshments will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mathews House along with campus tours. Alumni are welcomed to join for cocktails and dinner at 5 p.m. at the Kirtland Country Club.
Many activities welcome alumni back to campus on Saturday, October 2 including a national alumni board meeting at 10 a.m. in the Social Parlor, a tailgate party at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium at 11 a.m., choice of a football game against Ferris State University at 1 p.m. or campus tours at 2 p.m. and a music concert in Morley Music Building at 4:30 p.m.
The Distinguished Alumni Award Presentation will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Victor Manor House. Class photos will begin at 8 p.m. followed by a Rathskellar party.
Events conclude on Sunday with a continental breakfast and an academic presentation in the newly renovated Austin Hall of Science.
