OPEN AUDITIONS HELD FOR LAKE ERIE COLLEGE SPRING MUSICAL: QUILTERS

-COMMUNITY MEMBERS INVITED TO AUDITION

(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) – The Lake Erie College Theatre Department invites members of the local community to audition for the College spring musical, Quilters. Roles are available for seven women of various voice types and auditions will take place on January 31 and February 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the C.K. Rickel Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Building of the College on Gillett Street. Interested parties should prepare one song of their choice and provide accompaniment (tape, CD or sing a cappella).
 
Quilters, by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, is the story of a pioneer woman and her six daughters. Quilters blends a series of interrelated scented into a rich mosaic which captures the sweep and beauty, the terror and joy, the harsh challenges and abiding rewards of frontier life.
 
The play will be directed by John Huston, associate professor of theatre and area chair of the fine arts division at Lake Erie College. For more information please call 440-375-7450.
