Storm football welcomes seniors to visit day and combine
(May 29, 2009) – Soon-to-be high school seniors interested in continuing their football career in college are invited to the Lake Erie College visit day and combine June 28.
The Lake Erie College senior visit day/combine is for dedicated athletes entering their senior year of high school in the fall of 2009. The visit day is designed to give prospective student-athletes an introduction to Lake Erie College and Storm Football. During the visit, each athlete will receive an admissions presentation, campus tour, football presentation and an opportunity to participate in an NFL-style combine. The combine will include individual skill instruction, technique drills and group instruction.
The camp will feature instruction by the Lake Erie football staff, including the strength and conditioning coaches. The combine events will consist of a height and weight test, bench press, three-cone drill, NFL shuttle, vertical and 20-yard dash.
Athletic trainers will be on site as a precautionary measure. Lunch will be provided but participants will need to bring grass cleats and indoor athletic shoes. Parents and Coaches are encouraged to attend.
A $20 nonrefundable cost is involved for those who preregister. Walk-ups are welcome for a cost of $30. Checks can be made payable to Lake Erie College Football and mailed to: Lake Erie College Football, 391 W. Washington St., Painesville, OH 44077. Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. The visit day/combine will run from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
