Tau Kappa Epsilon hosts Pumpkin Patch Oct. 17-19
New Lake Erie College fraternity selling pumpkins for fundraiser
The newly-established Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity at Lake Erie College is sponsoring a Pumpkin Patch Oct. 17-19 from 9 a.m. until dusk in front of College Hall located on West Washington Street off of Mentor Avenue in Painesville.
The cost of each pumpkin is $5. The fundraiser is aimed at assisting TKE in the start-up of its fraternity and to also assist a local charity by donating 20 percent of the proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch. Pre-gutted pumpkins will be available for a limited time on Oct. 18.
TKE is a brotherhood of men who support each other's mental, moral and social development. Since its founding in 1899, more than 240,000 men have become members. TKE currently operates Chapters and Colonies on 271 college campuses across the United States and Canada, making it the largest college social fraternity in the world. Members of Tau Kappa Epsilon value scholarship, character, leadership, teamwork, service and brotherhood.
