Spring Music Concerts set for April 27 & 28
The Lake Erie College Music Department will be presenting year-end concerts April 27 and 28 in the Morley Music Hall.
The department’s annual Spring Musical Arts Concert will take place on Sunday, April 27, at 4 p.m.
and will include performances by the Lake Erie College Community Chorus, Flute Choir and several faculty and student soloists. Senior equestrian studies major, Marie Giosi, will be performing a piano solo for the last time as a student.
“Flutes in the Fields,” written by Professor Paul Gothard for the Lake Erie Flute Choir, will premier during the concert.
Lake Erie students will take the stage Monday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. to present a student voice recital.
The students will be singing art songs, arias, folk songs and Broadway songs from many genres. Composers include, Verdi, Purcell, Menotti, Niles and Respighi. Show songs include music from "Secret Garden," "Brigadoon," "A Connecticut Yankee" and more.
Lake Erie students that will be featured in the recital include: Joe Fath, Joe Grasso, Rachel Hanzak, Katherine Parker, Hannah Ziegler, Tricia Lilliman, Megan Acord, Vanessa Mohn, Bobby Ford, Cherie Gallant and Lindsay Thomas.
