(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) - Over 50 students, faculty and staff at Lake Erie College walked in memory of a former classmate and professor during a Memorial Heart Walk Festival on Friday, April 28. Over $3,000 was raised for the American Heart Association.

The one-mile heart walk, celebrating the memory of student Heather Stephenson and Professor Bernie Floriani, took place on the Lake Erie College campus followed by a student festival. All participants who raised $25 or more for the American Heart Association received a t-shirt, and the top fundraiser won an I-Pod shuffle. The event was followed by a Festival which featured a picnic, live music, an obstacle course, sumo-wrestling suits and a rock climbing wall.
