President Victor named to Junior Achievement board
Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland welcomes four new members to its board of directors: Michael Victor of Lake Erie College, David Given of Blue Point Capital Partners, Bob Meggazini of Marriott and Bill Paul of Marsh.
Junior Achievement’s thirty-eight member board is an integral part of ensuring the success of the organization. Led by Chairman, Jim Hopper of Applied Industrial Technologies, the board set– and will achieve– an ambitious goal of raising $1 million dollars and reaching 40,000 students throughout Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties this school year.
All four new members of the board were recruited because of their ability to serve as ambassadors for Junior Achievement to the Northeast Ohio community, their reputations within the Cleveland business community, and their demonstrated commitment to serving youth.
“We have always had the support of a strong, experienced board and our new members continue that tradition,” says Wendy Kinsey, President of Junior Achievement. “We look forward to working with them to set and achieve bigger goals in 2007-2008.”
Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Over 40,000 students in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties will participate in K-12 school programs in the 2006-2007 school year.
