Lake Erie College Commencement to be Held May 6
Lake Erie College will hold Commencement on Sunday, May 6 at 11 a.m. in the Auxiliary Gym of the Athletic and Wellness Center located at the corner of Walnut and Gillett streets in Painesville.
The College will award degrees to around 138 undergraduate students. Ten students will receive their master of science degrees in education and 19 students will be awarded their master of business administration degree.
Dana Dennis ’76, vice president and controller of Parker Hannifin Corporation, will address the graduates. Dennis received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College and has been a member of the College’s board of directors since 1998. He is vice chair of the board, chair of the fund development committee and a member of the executive, enrollment management and board development committees. He has also been a generous donor to many College programs.
Doctor of Humane Letters degrees will be presented to Dennis and Jerome T. Osbourne Sr, a member of the Lake County community, businessman and philanthropist. Osbourne has been a donor of the College and former member of the board of directors. He is chairman of the board of Lake National Bank and the Phillips Osborne School.
Tickets are required for admittance into the Commencement ceremony. A free, informal reception will immediately follow Commencement in the Holden Center where graduates and their guests are invited to interact with fellow graduates, faculty and staff.
