To honor the students and faculty whose lives were lost, our campus community came together for a moment of silence at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17. During that time, students stood in solidarity as 32 candles were lit. Our 150-year-old carrilon tolled 32 times for the lives that were lost. Students also wanted to show their support by writing letters of condolence for the Virginia Tech family.
At times like these, we are brought together to help understand the senselessness and express our anger, fear and confusion. The College’s director of health and wellness along with other staff members are available to help campus community members to process their feelings regarding this tragedy.
