Trebar Receives Distinguished Marketing & Sales Award

Bob Trebar, Dean of Management Studies and Instructor of Business
Administration at Lake Erie College, is a recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Marketing and Sales Award (DMSA) provided by the Sales & Marketing Executives of Cleveland group.
The DMSA is the profession’s premier honor to acknowledge excellence and provide community recognition for outstanding sales and marketing achievements. Areas evaluated were exemplary leadership and management, innovative strategies and tactics, extraordinary sales results and strong community and professional involvement.
Only the second educator in the award’s 46-year history to receive this honor, Trebar recently created a proposal that secured a $1.3 million grant from the Burton D. Morgan and Ewing Kauffman Foundations to establish a Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Lake Erie College. Furthermore, the graduate business administration program has reached an all-time high in enrollment under Trebar’s leadership.
In addition to his MBA responsibilities, Trebar oversees the undergraduate programs in marketing, management, accounting, sports management and legal studies. An instructor of marketing, he serves on the Academic Standards, Strategic Steering and Finance and Assets Committees at the College.
Trebar will be honored with area CEOs, presidents, and vice presidents at the 46th Annual Awards Banquet held Feb. 15, 2007 at the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland.
