Assistant Professor Dr. Brian Menaker to Present in Boston on Nov. 4Assistant Professor of Sport Management Dr. Brian Menaker will present an original interdisciplinary empirical research at the 141st annual meeting of the American Public Health Association on November 4 in Boston, Mass.
The presentation, "Alcohol policy in college football stadiums: Beyond law enforcement policy," considers how alcohol policies at college football stadiums transcend law enforcement policy. The foundation of the research centers around how stadium administrators and policy makers may use principles of social cognitive and learning theories in policy development and implementation, while evaluating the efficacy of controlling alcohol-related problems at college sporting events in all of the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision stadiums in one state.
The APHA annual meeting is expected to draw 13,000 attendees including public health officials, physicians, administrators, nurses, educators, researchers, epidemiologists, regional planers and other social scientists with over 1,000 scientific sessions and posters.
