Freshman Swimmer Martha Ruether Competes at 2013 ParalympicsLake Erie College freshman swimmer Martha Ruether competed in the 2013 Paralympics Spring CanAm held at the University of Minnesota April 4-6, taking home a first and second-place finish, as well as a trio of fourth-place finishes in her classification.
Ruether capped off the final day of the games by taking first-place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 3:33.51.
"Martha has done a great job representing Lake Erie College her freshman year and we are really proud of her achievements at the CanAm games," said Head Coach Nikki Rose.
