Apollo’s Fire Returns to Lake Erie College to Perform Brandenburg Concerto(Painesville, Ohio) – Cleveland’s baroque orchestra Apollo’s Fire returns to Lake Erie College to perform their famous Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and the wild "La Folia” on Thursday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Morley Music Building.
Bach’s Brandenburg concertos are a collection of six instrumental works presented by Bach to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg-Schwedt, in 1721. The concertos are regarded as some of the finest musical compositions of the Baroque era. The Brandenburg performance will feature Olivier Brault on the violin, Kathie Stewart playing the traverso and Jeannette Sorrell on the harpsichord.
