Lake Erie College to Host International Picnic
(Painesville, Ohio) – Lake Erie College will host a "Welcome to America” picnic for its international students, faculty and staff on Sunday, August 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mathews House on the main campus. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the 18 nationalities that are represented at the College.Flags from the following countries will be displayed in the Arthur S. Holden Center during the fall semester:
• Argentina
• Australia
• Bulgaria
• Canada
• Croatia
• England
• India
• Ireland
• Italy
• Jamaica
• Latvia
• Mexico
• Netherland Antilles
• Scotland
• Serbia
• Sudan
• Ukraine
• Venezuela
"We are excited to host an event that will bring together our international students, faculty and staff. The display of flags will represent the outstanding reputation and prestige Lake Erie College has internationally – in both its academic and athletic programs,” said Graduate Assistant of Alumni and Community Relations Marco Guadio.
