Lake Erie College Storm Soccer Camp Offers Youth Opportunities(Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie College men’s soccer team held a summer camp June 18-21 at Slattery Field on the main campus.
Led by Lake Erie College Head Men’s Soccer Coach Davie Carmichael and Graduate Assistant David McCaig, the summer camp offered supervised practice in fundamental skills and teamwork. Current soccer players, incoming freshmen and alumnus Drew Indiano also served as instructors for the week.
"The camp was a great way to engage the community and our youth generation. Our men’s soccer program has formed many working relationships within Lake County and Greater Cleveland, and we are very fortunate to have such relationships,” said Carmichael.
The camp hosted boys and girls ages 5-14 from Lake County who are a part of the Madison, Claymores, Mentor and AC Premier Soccer Clubs, and Cleveland Soccer Academy.
The Storm soccer team would also like to extend a special thanks to the Painesville City Fire Department which provided their fire trucks and hoses for the children to engage in a water fight during one of the days.
An additional soccer camp will be held July 30-August 2. Registration forms are available at www.lakeeriestorm.com. For more information, contact Davie Carmichael at 440-375-7386 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
