"It is with mixed emotions that I announce that Scott Evans, vice president of institutional advancement, and my first hire as president of Lake Erie College, will be leaving us. Please join me in congratulating Scott on this tremendous career opportunity and for six years of outstanding leadership and service. He will be missed,” said President Michael T. Victor.

Evans will take the position effective July 23.

"I am excited to join the YSU family and begin the next chapter in my career,” Evans said. "It has been an honor to serve President Victor and Lake Erie College during this period of transformation and growth. My wife, Meg, and I will always have a special place in our hearts for the College and this community. It has been an incredible ride.”

Evans previously was director of development at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM) for eight years, where he also was associate director of the NEOUCOM Foundation.
