For more than five decades, The Theatrical Grill was where many jazz greats performed in Cleveland. The Theatrical was the anchor of "Short Vincent," a 485-foot street of nightclubs nestled amid the tall buildings of Euclid and Superior Avenues and East 9th and East 6th Streets.

Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Butterfield, Earl "Fathaā€¯ Hines, Gene Krupa, Wild Bill Davidson, Oscar Peterson, Dorothy Donegan, Clark Terry, Jimmy Forrest, Muggsy Spanier and Jonah Jones were just a few of the jazz artists who performed there. Entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Yul Brynner, Victor Borge, Jimmy Durante, Judy Garland, Milton Berle and Jane Mansfield frequented the nightclub. Judges, lawyers, felons and others from all walks of life came to The Theatrical Grill, which was located on the street that never went to sleep.

Join us for an evening just like it was back in the day when jazz was hot and drinks were cool in downtown Cleveland! You will experience the sounds, the lights and other delights from this special period in our history.
