First-time Freshman Admissions

We offer 37 majors taught in focused, small class sizes. Students learn directly from professors, not their assistants.  We strive to make this highly-valuable education affordable and enjoy the opportunity to help you make your educational goals a reality.

First-time Freshman Admissions

Lake Erie College maintains a policy of rolling admission; specifically, once all of your application materials are submitted, your file is read and a decision is made. You are then notified immediately of our decision by a letter and a phone call from your admission counselor. As an admitted student, you will then have the opportunity to receive financial aid, and begin the housing and registration process for enrollment in the appropriate semester. Decisions usually take no more than three days once the necessary documents are received.

Here's what you need to apply:

  • Application fee: free for those who apply online
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Please note that exceptions to this rule are considered on an individual basis
